Katrin Wundsam
Former ensemble member of the Oper Köln, Katrin Wundsam gave her house debut as Hänsel in a new production of Hänsel und Gretel at the Staatsoper Berlin, appearing also as Rosina in Il barbiere di Siviglia at the Staatsoper Hamburg and as Dorabella in Così fan tutte at the Semperoper Dresden under Omer Meir Wellber. She also sang the role of Grimgerde in Wagner’s Die Walküre at the Salzburg Easter Festival 2017 under Christian Thielemann. After appearing in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte in 2013 and 2014, she returned to the Bregenzer Festspiele in 2019 as Maddalena in Verdi’s Rigoletto.
Wundsam regularly appears as a soloist on the concert stage, and has performed Mahler’s Symphony No. 2 under Markus Poschner and Symphony No. 8 under Adam Fischer, Beethoven’s Missa solemnis under Andrés Orozco-Estrada at the Rheingau Musik Festival and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 under Daniel Barenboim in Berlin.
